Nothing gets the heart pumping like a challenge. From the moment I stepped into the XMI index option pit on the floor of the American Stock Exchange in August 1987—yes, impeccable timing—I’ve been drawn to the complex and the competitive.

Give me a challenge, and my first instinct is research. Showing up unprepared is not an option. I’ve been an autodidact since childhood, and to this day, I dive headfirst into data. That’s where the answers live.

1. I craft solutions that empower stakeholders. Long-term partnerships—some spanning decades—are proof of that commitment.

2. Risk is rich with information. It reveals not only how an entity performs, but how it affects everything it touches. Understanding risk is my prime directive.

3. Great leaders elevate others. Empowerment, education, and support build networks of aligned minds.

4. Life’s too short for stagnation. I embrace new opportunities like long-lost cousins.

5. Minimize cognitive dissonance. When new truths challenge old beliefs, I don’t resist—I evolve. What holds us back is clinging to what no longer serves.
